The fundraising events we have held over the last year...
Our must successful fund raising intiative has been the organisation of tandem sky dive events. We promote the oppotunity to do a tandem sky dive and by getting sponsored the individual can jump at little or no expense to themselves and raise money for charity at the same time. On September 5th we organised a 70's fundraising night with Boogie Nights Live. Unfortunately advanced ticket sales were not as expected and an armed robbery at the bank next to the venue on the day of the event, combined with poor weather, resulted in the event not breaking even. However those who did attend and who helped, really enjoyed the fantastic set played by the Boogie Nights Live band.
We booked the £1500 tribute band Beatlemania who played an amazing set on Saturday, April 5th, all 150 guests danced all night long having a great time, we setup and ran our own bar and despite the poor weather on the night and not as high turnout as hoped, we raised £600.
We have held two local band nights at Saffron Walden Town Hall, the last one featuring the very popular local band The Great Nothing, photo gallery below.
